The Guided Literacy Schedule is now available on our blog. You can access it under the Classroom News section.
I will also be adding some photos very soon!
Photos from our Pumpkin Week, including games and our Celebration, are now available to view in the Students section. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time! We had a great morning and everything ran very smoothly, thanks to your help!!:)
I have also posted the October and November newsletters under the Classroom News section. Please let me know if you would like a digital copy of any other notes that have gone home. I usually try to upload the monthly newsletter shortly after I send it home.
That is all for now. Have a great weekend!:)
There have been a few questions about students saying that they need to or would like to donate books to our classroom library. I would like to clarify this for all of you! A few weeks ago, a bunch of books and some of our classroom furniture was wrecked due to some students treating the items disrespectfully. We had to recycle lots of books but we were lucky that Mr. B. was able to fix the furniture. I had a conversation with the students about treating our classroom items with respect. The next day, a student brought books to donate to the classroom since s/he felt bad that the books had been ruined. This was very generous of this student and our class thanked him/her. Since this donation, a few other students have brought in books to donate, which everyone has been excited about. I wanted to let all of the parents know that you do not have to donate any books but we are always happy to accept donations that will expand the types of books we have in our classroom library! :) I hope that clears everything up! A huge thank you to everyone has donated! The students and I greatly appreciate it!:)
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
Here is a link to the Letter Factory Actions video. You are only able to view it by clicking on this exact link since it is private to only those with my link. If the link does not work, try clicking here. I apologize for not having the video up earlier, but the internet at our school has not been working consistently.
I will also be uploading many of our newsletters to the blog very soon. Again, every time I try, I have issues with the internet. Thank you for your patience!
Have a great day!!
Pictures - Please check out the photos from our Rockstar Readers Literacy Celebration under the Students section.
Surf Up - On Tuesday all students will "surf up" into next year's classrooms. They will meet their new teachers and see their future classmates. Please keep in mind that classes could change in the Fall.
Year End - I will continue to send home more student work and belongings over the next few days. Almost everything should be sent home by Tuesday. We will just keep a pencil, indoor shoes, and something to colour with until the last day of school.
I look forward to the last week of school! We're going to have lots of fun and enjoy our last few days together! :)
Our May Newsletter is now available on our blog under the Classroom News section. I was so surprised when typing the newsletter as May is our shortest Newsletter yet it is such a busy month! Please keep checking agendas daily as new events may be added soon!
Here's to another great month!! :)
New pictures have been added to the Students section of our blog. Enjoy!
